The information below shows Ovako's report for the third quarter of 2015.

Ovako plans to implement a restructuring program to adapt to the current and expected future market demand. The program affects 300 employees. The annual cost saving for the entire program is estimated to be EUR 45 million, with full effect in 2018. Negotiations with local unions will start immediately.

Ovako will publish its report for the third quarter at 07.30 CET on November 3, 2015.

Ovako in Smedjebacken and NCC Roads have signed a 10-year contract for the supply of steel slag. The by-product is used as aggregate in asphalt, providing more stable and quieter roads that require less re-laying.

Joakim Olsson has been elected as a new member of Ovako's board of directors.

In response to lower demand for tube products, Ovako plans to move from four shifts to three in the production of hot-rolled and processed tube at the mill in Hofors. Negotiations with the local trade unions will commence immediately. The ambition is to manage the redundancy of about 35 jobs through natural attrition to the degree possible.
