New President of Business Unit Hofors and new Acting President of Business Unit SmeBox
Rickard Qvarfort has been appointed as the new President of Business Unit Hofors. He starts his new role July 1, 2020 and succeeds Erik Bohman, who has decided to leave Ovako for new opportunities. In conjunction, Björn Wiborg has been appointed Acting President of Business Unit SmeBox.
Rickard has been at Ovako since 1993, most recently as the President of Business Unit SmeBox. During his time at Ovako he has held various roles and has worked at several of the Ovako sites, including as manager of Tube and Ring in Hofors.
“I would like to thank Erik for the work he has done together with the management team in Hofors. When he assumed the role, his primary task was to stabilize the business and turn around the profitability trend, which I believe he has managed to do,” says Marcus Hedblom, President and CEO.
“Rickard has during his time as President of Business Unit SmeBox successfully developed the business and strengthened the profitability of the unit. With his valuable expertise and extensive experience from large parts of the organization and our business, he will be able to take on and drive the development to create long-term stability for Ovako in Hofors,” Marcus continues.
