Sustainably-sourced steel can help OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) deliver climate-smart products and reduce their overall carbon footprint – and in turn attract environmentally conscious customers and respond to tightening legislation.

Nicholas Källsäter has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Ovako and will be part of the executive management team. Nicholas, who currently is Head of Group Business Control, has worked at Ovako since 2012. He takes up the new position on June 1, 2019 and succeeds Johan Ryrberg, who has decided to take on new opportunities outside Ovako.

Ovako has inaugurated a new research and visitor center in Hofors, the Ovako Science & Visitor Centre. The purpose of the center is to work together with customers in the development of new and innovative steel solutions that enable the production of high-performance components adapted to customer needs.
